Catherine has extensive experience managing and directing test development projects and other assessment research for clients such as QCDA, Ofqual and GL Assessment. Other research projects have included a survey exploring schools’ use of data in teaching and learning for the DfES (2005) and a longitudinal research study (2005-2010) evaluating the validity of an aptitude test for admission to higher education for the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS).
Catherine is a Practitioner of the Association for Educational Assessment-Europe and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Educational Assessors. She is co-author of Progress in English: Second Edition (GL Assessment), the NFER Maths Challenge KS1 (formerly part of i-nfer plan) and a series of leaflets on assessment, Getting to Grips with Assessment: Primary (NFER, 2007).
