Jenny is currently the National Project Manager for the OECD PISA survey in the UK and the Project Director for the PIRLS, TIMSS, ISAS (PIAAC) and ESLC surveys. A former English teacher and lecturer, Jenny has considerable overseas experience. She has worked in English language education and assessment in the UK, Hong Kong, Sweden, Oman and Malaysia, and undertaken overseas consultancy work in Malaysia, Mexico and Anguilla.
Jenny has worked at NFER since 1999. She has managed numerous test development, assessment and research projects including Development of Grade Descriptors for the Revised Hong Kong School Certificate in Education Examination in English Language, the Inventory of Language Certification in Europe project for the European Commission, and the Baseline Study on the English Language Proficiency of Pupils at Key Levels in Singapore. She has also led research and assessment projects in the area of adult literacy and ESOL in the UK.
