eddie members' pages
What eddie does
eddie keeps members in touch with colleagues in other local authorities. Through eddie they can:
- seek information
- share information
- identify useful contacts
- alert others to new initiatives
- open up a discussion
- promote publications or conferences
eddietalk - which topics have been keeping eddie members occupied in recent weeks?
How eddie works
eddie is run by Mailtalk, a mailing list service run by the JISCmail team, situated at CCLRC's Rutherford Appleton Laboratory. The Mailtalk service runs LISTSERV software.
When someone joins eddie, their details are added to the list held on the Mailtalk computer. They then get all email messages sent to eddie by other members. They can send a reply to eddie (and so to all members) or just to one person on the list. They can leave eddie at any time.
eddie archive
Messages are stored by Mailtalk in an eddie archive; list members can register a password and then search for past messages on a secure area of Mailtalk 's website.
