Safeguarding the young and vulnerable
Safeguarding children is everyone’s business and the NFER is supporting learning, development, policy and practice in this area through a varied research programme including work sponsored by the DCSF, CWDC and LGA. Recent work has included projects focusing on custody diversion, the impact of the integration of children’s services, work with migrant communities and the work of the Centre for Excellence in Outcomes (C4EO), including its safeguarding theme with a single priority ‘Protecting children living in families where they are at high risk of abuse, harm or neglect’.
