EMIE at NFER supports the exchange of information between local authorities on issues concerning education and children's services, encourages the sharing of expertise and effective practice and disseminates research findings of relevance to practitioners.

The NFER's International Information Unit provides the services of Eurydice at NFER - the national Eurydice Unit for England, Wales and Northern Ireland in the Eurydice Network on education in Europe. Part of the EU Lifelong Learning Programme, the Eurydice Network provides information to policy makers on policies and structures of education systems in Europe. |

The NFER's International Information Unit also manages and updates the International Review of Curriculum and Assessment Frameworks (INCA) Internet Archive. Funded by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) and the Training and Development Agency for Schools (TDA), INCA provides descriptions of government policy on education in 20 countries. It focuses on the curriculum, assessment and initial teacher training frameworks for the education of three- to 19- year-olds in schools. |

CERUKplus is a free internet database, sponsored by NFER and DCFS, with links to the EPPI-Centre (The Evidence for Policy and Practice Information Coordinating Centre) and SCIE, that aims to include all ongoing and recently completed research in education and children's services in the United Kingdom. |
