NFER supporting National Careers Week
The National Foundation for Educational Research (NFER) is proud to be supporting National Careers Week (#NCW2018), an annual event that celebrates and promotes quality careers education, information, advice and guidance (CEIAG) across the UK.
Taking place from 5 to 10 March, the week provides a platform to advise and inspire young people as they enter the world of work. It also coincides with the 11th National Apprenticeship Week (#NAW 2018) which will run from 5 to 9 March.
Throughout the week, NFER will be running a social media campaign to promote the importance of quality CEIAG in schools and colleges by sharing our extensive research and free resources in education to employment. NFER staff will also be sharing their careers insights and advice for young people as they enter the world of work on social media and via the NFER Blog. You can join the conversation by using the hashtag #NFERe2e as well as the official hashtag of the week #NCW2018.
Tami McCrone, senior research manager at NFER, said: “Our aim is for all young people to make successful transitions from education to employment and we’re delighted to support this fantastic initiative to promote successful careers guidance. This is a real opportunity for us all to bring high-quality careers information to the forefront and to provide schools and colleges with the practical tools and resources available in order to do this.”
