A practical workshop on evaluating research evidence
Tami McCrone and Caroline Sharp
ResearchEd National Conference
Raine's Foundation School, Dulwich, London
6 September 2014
Do you read articles, blogs, other forms of secondary evidence? Are you looking to inform your action research project? Or perhaps to find some effective practice to use in your classroom? Or are you simply not sure what value to place on a research report you have found?
In this session we will provide guidance on how to find evidence and how to evaluateevidence. Additionally we will consider how you can build on it to inform your own primary study; and how you can get involved and formulate research questions that you want researchers to work on.
The ResearchEd confence is based on one simple idea - working out what works. The aim of the conference is to bring the teaching and research communities together to raise standards of educational research and bring the very best research into the classroom.
