Using evidence from standardised tests to show attainment and progress

Our Head of Assessment Research and Product Development, Liz Twist will also be joined by Susan Shoveller from the South Farnham School Educational Trust to speak about ‘Using evidence from standardised tests to show attainment and progress’ on Friday 16 March at 13.00 - 13:30.

Since the abolition of national curriculum levels, schools have needed to adopt their own approaches to monitoring attainment and progress. This session will focus on how schools can use robustly developed standardised tests to reliably assess pupils. During the year, information about pupils’ relative strengths and weaknesses can inform teaching and curriculum design. At the end of the year, teachers can use the standardised data summatively as part of their teacher assessment.

There are a lot of myths about standardised assessments; attend this session to gain accurate information on the development of reliable standardised tests and the benefits to teachers and pupils.

For more information about the event, please visit the Education Show website.

We look forward to seeing you there.
