NFER Trustee recognised in Queen’s Birthday Honours list

NFER Trustee, Ian Bauckham, has been appointed Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in the Queen’s 2017 Birthday Honours List.
Ian, Executive Headteacher of the Bennett Memorial Diocesan School in Tunbridge Wells, was given the honour for services to education. The NFER Trustee is also chief executive of the Tenax Schools Trust and the former president of the Association of School and College Leaders (ASCL).
Speaking to TES on his CBE, Ian Bauckham said: "I am honoured personally and on behalf of those with whom I have had the privilege to work to be given this recognition. I have been fortunate to have had many wonderful colleagues both at Bennett and in other organisations, and am profoundly grateful for their hard work and support.”
Ian has been a Trustee of NFER since 2015. Congratulating him on his honour, NFER Chief Executive Carole Willis said: “This is a great honour for Ian and we are delighted that he has been recognised for his enormous contribution to education in this country.”
