NEET prevention study offers insight into student engagement

A three-year exploratory study into the impact of school-based programmes to support students aged 14 to 16 who are at risk of becoming NEET (not in education, employment or training) has revealed key elements that appeared common to all the successful approaches.
DfE continues to reimburse baseline assessments
On 7 April the DfE announced that while results from baseline assessments will no longer be used for accountability measures, the Department will continue to reimburse the basic cost assessments in the 2016 to 2017 academic year.
