Futurelab at NFER is launching two exciting new initiatives designed to harness schools’ creative energies to promote innovative practice. The Enquiring School and Enquiring Teachers programmes support the development of best practice through action research, and will be underpinned by a suite of CPD workshops.
NFER presents its new portfolio of products and services. The Ofsted landscape is changing rapidly, with more pressure than ever on schools to keep track of what they are doing. The NFER portfolio identifies effective tools for getting Ofsted-ready in time and resource‑efficient ways. Developing Young Researchers, a unique online resource aimed at people who want to work with young researchers but are unsure about how to do so, goes live on Monday 30 April along with a companion site for the young researchers themselves. Watch out for the latest insights from NFER in upcoming editions of SecEd and Headteacher Update, which will feature articles based on recent and current research by some of NFER’s leading experts. NFER has secured funding from Arts Council England to establish a framework for the evaluation of In Harmony - a music programme aimed at disadvantaged primary schools.
