Helen is part of the departmental management team for Research and Product Operations and is responsible for the systems, processes and procedures of the department as well as business development. She develops solutions and manages the large scale services that deliver NFER for schools products as well as large data collections and services on behalf of UK governments, She is also experienced in the data management for international surveys having been the data manager for OECD PISA 2009 and 2012 cycles in England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland, the European Survey on Language Competencies in England and for the field trials for the International Survey of Adult Skills. She has also been the National Sampling and Data Manager for the International Early Learning and Child Wellbeing Study.

Helen is a registered Prince2 Practitioner, a certified Business Analyst and has over 10 years of extensive project and programme management experience specialising in creating and launching new project, products and services and ensuring their ongoing viability and relevance. This includes the specification of new IT systems and administrative processes and coordinating large and varied teams of specialists both internal and external to the NFER.
