Within assessment, she has worked on text selection, item writing and reviewing, technical pre-testing, reporting, and producing teacher outputs for NFER’s own suite of tests. She is currently leading on the development of the National Curriculum reading tests for use at the end of Key Stage 1.
Outside of the centre, she is an active member of the Education Trials Unit. She has recently been heavily involved in both the process and impact evaluations of an RCT comparing literacy interventions for struggling pupils transitioning between primary and secondary school.
