Kelly’s main area of interest and expertise is 14-19 education, particularly focusing on young people who have difficulty making transitions and are at risk of disengaging from learning. She is an experienced research manager and is skilled at managing both qualitative and quantitative research projects, using a range of different data collection methods. She has worked on a range of projects for the Department for Education, Local Government Association, the Sutton Trust, the Education Endowment Foundation and CfBT. Kelly also has an interest in social mobility, including widening participation and opening up access to the professions and has worked closely with the legal sector to evaluate a nationwide initiative to offer fair access to work placements.
