Rob is a Research Manager in the NFER’s Centre for Assessment and has worked on a range of projects since joining NFER in 2002. He is an author and reviewer of reading and mathematics assessment materials for primary age pupils and has worked on tests for commercial clients as well as national curriculum assessments. He has also had a particular focus on the writing and trialling of cognitive ability tests used for secondary school selection, and has an academic background in psychology, including a Masters degree in Social and Applied Psychology. In addition, Rob works on PISA, the Programme for International Student Assessment, and has been responsible for the adaptation and production of the questionnaires for students, headteachers and parents for PISA 2006, 2009, 2012 and 2015.
