An Investigation Into Gender Differences in achievement - Phase 1: A review of Recent Research and LEA Information on Provision

Over the past few years there has been growing concerns over boys' relatively low levels of achievement in comparison with girls. In response, NFER is carrying out a project, as part of the Local Government Association research programme, to investigate the issue of gender differences in achievement. This report presents to findings from Phase 1 of that investigation.
