This is the first report arising from Phase One of an NFER project examining the range of local authority multi-agency working between social services, health and education in the United Kingdom. Based on telephone interviews with representatives of 221 multi-agency initiatives from 117 local authorities, the report describes the range of initiatives and target groups identified, as well as illustrating the main benefits, challenges and key factors in the success of such initiatives.
This report will be of particular interest to professionals from social services, health and education departments within local authorities, as well as all those from other agencies involved in such multi-agency projects.
