Diagnostic analysis: How was KS1 children's learning affected by Covid school disruption?

In this session at the 2021 researchEd National Conference, Tara Paxman and Susan Rose from our Centre for Assessment will present the detailed findings from NFER and EEF's research into the impact of school closures on reading and mathematics for KS1 children. Using diagnostic analysis of assessments this study identifies the specific areas of learning affected by the pandemic, including those which have actually improved. This is intended to equip teachers with evidence to inform their practice and support for pupils whose academic progress may have been impacted following the partial school closures.
