08:45 – 16:20
The School Data Conference 2018 will provide a vital platform to assess how all schools can effectively utilise data to analyse and evaluate performance in order to improve attainment and learning outcomes for all pupils. Attendees will hear from policy experts and leading practitioners on using self-evaluation to improve performance, assessing how data informs the school accountability system and ensuring schools use robust data analysis to support progress for all pupils.
NFER Quantitative Research Director, Jude Hillary will be chairing the event.
The final section of the day will be split into primary and secondary breakout streams. For the primary stream at 3:20pm our NFER Head of Assessment Research and Product Development, Liz Twist is speaking about the do’s and don’ts to getting the most from your assessment data.
Her session will focus on answering questions about the sort of data primary schools have access to:
- What do I want to know and what types of assessment will help me find out?
- What sort of data do I have or could I get?
- What can this data tell me?
- What should and shouldn’t I do with this data?
