GovNet are holding are holding their next Schools and Academies Show in London to discuss the latest updates on education policy and the tools to providing effective solutions to schools’ everyday challenges.
At 10am, NFER’s Head of Classroom Practice and Workforce, Dr Ben Styles, will be hosting a session on ‘Tutoring and the NTP: evidence and practice’. Dr Styles will be drawing on research from NFER’s ‘Evaluation of year 1 of the National Tutoring Programme Tuition Partners and Academic Mentoring’ report, which finds that most schools were satisfied with the quality of tuition, and with the programme overall. The majority of schools felt the programme had ‘helped pupils catch up with their peers’ and ‘improved pupils’ confidence’.
