PIRLS: Progress in International Reading Literacy Study

This report reveals the results of one of the largest and most rigorous studies of reading achievement ever undertaken. The reading skills of over 140,000 children in 35 countries were tested. The report explains how well they read, how they are taught, what they read in their leisure time and what their parents are doing to help them learn to read.
