One of a set of four practical guides to assessing writing at key stage 2.
This guide will help teachers to assess any task of a narrative, autobiographical or biographical writing at upper key stage 2 against the new English curriculum whilst still using the resources already in use in school.
The guide includes annotated examples of pupils' writing to assist teachers in making reliable and valid teacher assessments as well as examples of grammatical features and how these develop.
The guide uses colour coding to identify specific areas to look for in pupils' writing, particularly in relation to the new curriculum and the focus on grammar. It will help to assess a pupil's work for evidence to map progress and inform target-setting.
The guide also includes next steps on how to address identified issues, and improve pupils' writing.
Price: £22.00 plus postage and packing.
