For anyone involved in primary education, the introduction of Key Stage 1 SATs has been one of the most significant events of the last few years. The floating and sinking task - the booklist - the boycott - all these have become part of teachers' folklore. But what was it like for the people on the inside, the ones who had to write the SATs? For six years, a team of NFER researchers has this task. This book marks the end of the project with a series of reflections on their experiences.
