Centre Staff

The Centre for Information and Reviews team includes information, library and knowledge management experts with skills in information literacy, policy monitoring and literature reviews. Many of us also have particular expertise in international comparative education. We can help you by providing, searching and synthesising information on education and services for children and young people across a range of countries and at local and national level in the UK.


Geoff Gee, Deputy Head of Centre
Geoff provides management support to the Head of Centre and, through his extensive knowledge of the UK education system, offers policy support to the Eurydice Unit for England, Wales and Northern Ireland and to NFER’s impact team; and ensures that all NFER colleagues are kept up-to-date with policy developments in education and children’s services.


Sigrid Boyd
Sigrid is Head of the Eurydice Unit for England, Wales and Northern Ireland and coordinates and manages the Centre’s contribution to all Eurydice network publications and products. Sigrid also contributes to NFER research projects which require expertise in international comparisons.


Hilary Grayson
Hilary undertakes systematic literature reviews and rapid evidence assessments, from devising search strategies through conducting and documenting systematic literature searches to synthesising and analysing evidence to produce review reports. Hilary is a library and information expert and is part of the team providing the services of the Eurydice Unit for England, Wales and Northern Ireland.


Maureen Heron
Maureen is a member of the team providing the services of the Eurydice Unit for England, Wales and Northern Ireland, and coordinates and manages all of the Centre’s current awareness services for internal and external clients.


Claire Sargent
Claire is Deputy Head of the Eurydice Unit for England, Wales and Northern Ireland and the former Project Leader for the International Review of Curriculum and Assessment Frameworks (INCA) project. Claire also contributes to a wide range of NFER projects which require expertise in international comparisons and benchmarking.


Amanda Taylor
Amanda manages and develops the NFER’s library services; provides library, information, intelligence and support services for all NFER research, assessment and development projects; and coordinates information and review activities for a wide range of internal and external clients.
