How to recruit young people

There are a number of different ways of recruiting young people to your project. For example, you could:

If you work in a school or other educational setting, you should be able to recruit young people fairly easily. If you don’t, it may be worth liaising with a local school or youth group. Once you have recruited some young people, they may well be able to help you to get others on board by using their own social networks.

Whichever recruitment route you take, make sure that you emphasise how becoming involved in the project will benefit young people. Young people are often keen to have their voices heard and some, at least, will welcome the opportunity to have an impact on issues that matter to them.
