School questionnaires gather feedback from parents, pupils and staff.
Parent View preparation summary
The reports from the NFER General Schools Surveys for parents include a Parent View preparation summary.
Parent View is an online facility launched by Ofsted in October 2011 that allows parents and carers to give their views about their child’s school at any time of the school year. The questionnaire is also the main mechanism for parents to give their views to inspectors about their child’s school at the time of a school inspection. Results from Parent View are open and accessible by all.
NFER School Surveys can help you be prepared for the Parent View questionnaire in two ways:
Your Parent View preparation summary will give you access to all the results without them being made public - you can put in place improvement plans before an inspection.
The results from your school are compared* to the results from all the other schools who have taken part in these surveys (weighted to be nationally representative) - you can prioritise which areas to focus on first
*Comparisons for all Parent View questions will be available in the future. Currently they are available for questions included in previous NFER School surveys.
