The Local Authorities Research Consortium’s (LARC) latest round of research into early intervention and children experiencing neglect highlights some important messages for frontline practitioners and those leading and managing colleagues who work with families with additional needs. Specifically, this summary presents our key messages for Local Safeguarding Children’s Board (LSCB) members who may be interested in these findings and our recommendations. The summary is based on interviews with over 105 practitioners, and 40 children and families across nine English local authorities. We have also produced summaries for education colleagues, health practitioners and elected members. For further information about LARC go to www.nfer.ac.uk/larc.
