14-19 transitions and learning

NFER has extensive experience of conducting research on 14-19 transitions and learning including young people’s career decision making, their participation in education, training and youth activities, and the support they receive to progress to adulthood.

Significant recent work has included work for the Local Government Group (LG Group) on young people's aspirations in rural areas, and on the current fitness for purpose of information, advice and guidance provided to young people by local authorities. NFER has also worked with University of Exeter on a long-term national evaluation of the implementation and impact of the new Diplomas.
