This systematic literature review aimed to inform the Local Government Association about the findings from the literature which focused on implications for the practice of teaching gifted and talented pupils. The review set out to suggest practical recommendations for the processes which contribute to gifted and talented education. From the literature it was identified that these processes included methods of identification, differentiation, enrichment, acceleration, classroom organisation, monitoring and evaluation as well as the roles and responsibilities taken on by various individuals.
