NFER have identified four key priorities, based on our rigorous research and insights, that we believe should be addressed in each of the political parties’ manifestos in the lead up to the General Election; teacher workforce, skills needed for tomorrow’s workforce, education funding and supporting children and young people from disadvantaged backgrounds.
As part of this work, we will be holding policy focussed webinars in the lead up to the general election. Our first webinar will focus on the teacher workforce, with NFER’s School Workforce Lead, Jack Worth, presenting insights and analysis on current teacher workforce trends.
The webinar will be chaired by Matilda Martin (Tes), and will feature the following pannelists:
- Jack Worth, School Workforce Lead, NFER
- Mark Lehain, Head of Education, Centre for Policy Studies
- Efua Poku-Amanfo, Research Fellow, Institute for Public Policy Research
- L’myah Sherae, Founder and Director, Enact Equality
