As the wider labour market continues to recover following the relaxation of Covid-19 related restrictions, attention has turned to how new teachers can be recruited and how existing teachers can be retained. In this free webinar organised by TES, editor Jon Severs spoke to a number of experts, including NFER School Workforce Lead Jack Worth, about how improved teacher training and continuous professional development can help tackle the retention crisis in schools. Alongside Jack was Ian Hunter, Director of the TES Institute, Emma Hollis, Executive Director at the National Association at School Based Teacher Trainers (NASBTT), and Professor Geraint Jones, founding Executive Director & Associate-pro-vice-chancellor of the National Institute of Teaching and Education.
