EducationScape is returning to Wellington College for the 15th annual Festival of Education. Approximately 300 sessions will be held across the two days covering the latest trends, research, and innovations in education.
An education for the future: a blueprint for a different curriculum

NFER’s Co-head of the Centre for Policy and Practice, Jude Hillary, will be joining NEU, to discuss the skills most needed in the future labour market and the practical strategies schools can put in place to develop them. Jude will be drawing on research from NFER’s 5-year programme, funded by the Nuffield Foundation, The Skills Imperative 2035.
Professional learning and teacher agency to improve recruitment and retention

NFER’s School Workforce Lead, Jack Worth, will be joining the Chartered College of Teaching’s panel to discuss the potential impact of professional trust and agency on teacher recruitment and retention. Jack will be drawing on NFER’s teacher workforce catalogue, including the Teacher Labour Market in England Annual Report 2025.
Barriers to progression and retention for ethnic minority teachers

NFER’s Research Managers, Katherine Aston and Juliet Kyoshabire Kotonya, will be holding a session to discuss how schools are supporting the retention and progression of teachers and leaders from ethnic minority backgrounds. They will be drawing on research from NFER’s recent report, funded by Mission44, Ethnic disparities in entry to teacher training, teacher retention and progression to leadership.
