Inspiring Futures Evaluation

NFER has been commissioned by The Rigby Foundation to understand how the Inspiring Futures programme supports partner schools and young people in Birmingham and North Solihull.

The research aims to evaluate the Inspiring Futures programme, and understand its effect on young people in Birmingham and North Solihull.

The Rigby Foundation has selected ten partner schools/colleges to participate in Inspiring Futures.

This is a formative evaluation to understand participants’ experience and reflections on the programme, and identify learning for future years. It includes case studies of each participating school/college and collecting data on student participation and outcomes.

Participating in the research involves taking part in an interview or group discussion to understand your experience of the programme and the effect it has had on students. We will also collect aggregated data from schools, colleges and charities on student participation and key educational outcomes.

By participating in the research, you will help us inform the development of Inspiring Futures in future years of the programme.

Inspiring Futures is a three year programme beginning in September 2025. We are currently evaluating the first year of the programme (academic year 2025/26).

The Rigby Foundation has selected ten partner schools/colleges to participate in Inspiring Futures.
