Outcomes from ADCS/EMIE School Organisation Conferences 16 and 23 March 2007
This portfolio of resources represents the outcomes from action-research workshops held at conferences co-promoted by ADCS and EMIE in London and Manchester in March 2007. These were attended by local authority senior officers who have responsibilities in relation to the strategic planning of school organisation and managing changes to schools so as to improve choice, diversity and access.
The series of booklets sets out the issues and practical solutions shared or suggested by those participating in the workshops on pupil place planning, setting up academies, federations and collaborations and running school competitions. It offers advice to local authority officers with responsibility for school organisation (in England), using actual experiences of those who have been involved in managing changes to schools.
The full portfolio comprises:
- Setting up academies
- Characteristics of different categories of schools in England
- Federations and collaborations
- Pupil place planning
