In July, the Department for Education published the findings of an expert group who conducted a review of the initial teacher training (ITT) market for courses that lead to qualified teacher status (QTS). The report considered issues such as new quality requirements of ITT, the length of postgraduate teacher training courses, the impact of practice placements and developments in professional and subject support.
From 9:30am at this Westminster Education Forum conference, NFER’s School Workforce Lead Jack Worth will be part of a panel to discuss the review recommendations, their implications for the sector and areas of greatest need. The panel will also have the opportunity to discuss the role for the Institute for Teaching and issues regarding the quality of provision.
