This report draws on information from 19 educational systems to provide a comparative analysis of the arts, creativity and cultural education. The countries included are Australia, Canada, England, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Hungary, Italy, Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Japan, Republic of Korea, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the USA. It is based on information from the INCA Archive (which provides detailed descriptions of different educational systems), together with discussions at a seminar, held in July 2000. This summary sets out the key facts, implications and priorities for action.
